Geotextile Construction Process
First. old road surface treatment
1. The old road to remove dust, loose particles and debris, clean, the surface to keep dry. The sharp and abrupt parts of the road should be leveled; For the seriously damaged and broken pavement, the broken parts should be removed and repaired with asphalt concrete. For roads with serious cracks or ruts, it is necessary to fill a layer of 1 ~ 2cm screed.
2. Spread asphalt adhesive layer oil
When liquid petroleum asphalt is used for viscous layer oil, the atmospheric temperature is above 5℃; When emulsified asphalt is used for viscous layer oil, the atmospheric temperature is above 10℃. When the road is wet in rainy days and after rain, do not pour sticky layer oil. Pay attention to the choice of viscous layer oil and the amount. Practice has proved that it is best to use asphalt modified by EVA or SBS, which have good crack resistance and thermal stability. If emulsified asphalt is used, its asphalt content must be greater than 60% in order to be well used.
3.Before laying the geotextile, sprinkle the asphalt adhesive layer, the amount is about 0.4 ~ 0.6kg/m2, and then lay the geotextile, and then sprinkle a layer of the same type of adhesive layer oil on the geotextile, the amount is about 0.5 ~ 0.6kg/m2. The following points should be noted: (1) It is recommended to use hot asphalt sticky sleeve, and keep the oil temperature between 150 and 170℃; (2) The horizontal range of the spray layer oil is 5 ~ 10cm wider than the geotextile; (3) The viscous layer oil should be sprayed evenly and the measurement should be accurate.
4.If the oil is poured once, the total amount of viscous layer oil can not be reduced, the recommended value is 1.0 ~ 1.3kg/m2, and the oil temperature can not be lower than 180℃. Once pouring oil is easy to cause impenetrability of geotextile and stratification, resulting in peeling of surface layer.
Second, the laying and lap of geotextile
1. Geotextile is best to use mechanical installation, can also use manual laying. When laying, it should be noted that the rough side of the singeing faces up, and then one end is fixed with a fixator, and is pulled tight by mechanical or human resources, with a tensile elongation of about 1.0% to 1.5%, and it is laid flat and close to the road.
The fixer comprises a fixing nail and a fixing iron sheet. Fixed nails should be cement nails or shooting nails, nail length 8 ~ 10cm; The fixed iron sheet can be a thickness of 1mm and a width of 3mm.
2. Geotextile transverse lapping about 4 ~ 5cm, according to the paving direction, the back end is pressed under the front end, and the hot asphalt or emulsified asphalt is cemented, fixed with a fixator; The longitudinal lap joint is also about 4 ~ 5cm, and can be dried directly with bonding oil. The lap is wide, the sandwich at the lap becomes thicker, and the binding force between the surface layer and the base layer is weakened, which easily leads to the adverse effects of the surface layer swelling, detachment and displacement. Therefore, the width of the lap should be cut off.
3. Geotextile should be spread as far as possible in a straight line. When it is time to turn, cut the bend of the fabric, overlap and spray adhesive layer oil to cement. Fabric creasing should be avoided as much as possible, if there is a crease in the laying (crease height >2cm), this part of the crease should be cut, and then in the laying direction and then bonded with viscous layer oil.
4. When the geotextile laying is completed, after spraying the second asphalt sticky layer oil and cooling for about 2 hours, the appropriate amount of fine yellow sand should be thrown in time to prevent the vehicle from passing through the geotextile, due to the wheel sticky oil will pick up or destroy the cloth, the amount of fine sand is about 1 ~ 2kg/m2.
Three, construction precautions
1. The vehicle should try to avoid turning or braking on the geotextile, especially when paving the asphalt surface, any sharp turn or kill the taxi may bring up or destroy the geotextile.
2. Construction under rainy, wet or cold weather conditions will affect the bond strength and finish effect of the coating.
3. The laying process must be closed to traffic. Except for construction vehicles, other vehicles are only allowed to pass through the geotextile in emergency situations.
4. If the paver slips when spreading the hot mix asphalt mixture, a small amount of stone chips can be sprinkled on the surface of the viscous layer oil.
